CUSTOM-DESIGNED VALVE BOXES MEET NEEDS OF INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER

CHANHASSEN, MN (June 24, 2004) – Custom Fab Solutions, LLC (CFS), a custom plastic/metal fabricator and systems integrator serving technology industries, recently received an order to built approximately 200 custom-designed valve boxes that will be delivered to a European semiconductor manufacturing company.

“The end-user had an often-requested, but seldom realized idea,” said Bill Braunwarth, CFS Director of Sales and Marketing. “They wanted to create a standard valve box capable of being customized to a variety of plumbing configurations.”

With that challenge in mind, CFS designers teamed with the customer and accomplished the objective by creating unique mounting panels, inserts and spacer plates to accept all of the customer’s valving/plumbing configurations. With this objective accomplished, CFS designers continued the design effort and created a ¼-turn polypropylene door latch and a distribution tube-sealing assembly. The tube sealing assembly grasps the outer diameter of the primary chemical distribution tubing while simultaneously sealing the secondary containment piping. Therefore, if a leak does occur in the valve box, chemical does not flow from the box into the secondary containment tubing.

The project demonstrates the capabilities of Custom Fab Solutions’ designers and fabricators to gather information from the customer, team with the customer to create the desired product, and deliver a cost-effective product to a highly technical specification. “This project serves as one more example of CFS’ capability to fulfill unique requests from our customers,” said Braunwarth.
