CFS upgrades iso certificationCHANHASSEN, MN (May 29, 2009) - Custom Fab Solutions, LLC (CFS), a contract manufacturer and custom plastic/metal fabricator serving technology industries, announced it is now certified to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 standard; previously the company was ISO 9001:2000 certified. The new certification complements the ISO 13485:2003 certification it received in November, 2007. CHANHASSEN, MN (May 29, 2009) - Custom Fab Solutions, LLC (CFS), a contract manufacturer and custom plastic/metal fabricator serving technology industries, announced it is now certified to International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 standard; previously the company was ISO 9001:2000 certified. The new certification complements the ISO 13485:2003 certification it received in November, 2007. The ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) is an internationally recognized standard that ensures consistency and continuous improvement of working practices for products the company manufacturers. The standard requires employee training, management assessment, and changes to procedures to meet the new rigorous standard. The ISO 13485:2003 is an internationally recognized Medical Device Quality Management System standard developed by the ISO. To be certified to the 13485:2003 standard, the company must have Medical Device QMS procedures to document/confirm procedures to identify, manage and minimize risks involved with the manufacturing and sales of medical devices.
