GLOBAL SCIENCE-BASED COMPANY SELECTS CFS AS SUPPLIER FOR NEW PRODUCT

CHANHASSEN, MN (Jan 17, 2008) - Custom Fab Solutions, LLC (CFS), a contract manufacturer and custom plastic/metal fabricator serving technology industries, was recently selected by a global science-based company to manufacturer surface conditioning disks for the Semiconductor industry.

CFS was approached to provide alternatives to more expensive technologies for volume production of a newly developed surface conditioning disk products. Through extensive testing and custom built equipment designed by CFS, the company was able to substantially reduce manufacturing costs as compared to previous tried methods. Prior to shipment the disks are cleaned with a CFS priority process and packaged in a Class 1000 clean room. 

“The true capabilities of CFS as a full-service, vertically integrated contract manufacturer were demonstrated with this new customer,” said Bill Braunwarth, CFS Director of Sales and Marketing. “We assisted with subtle but important design changes, designed and built specialty equipment to support the manufacturing process, provided prototypes, fine tuned a manufacturing process and cleaned/packaged the product to semiconductor standards at lower than anticipated cost.” 

CFS expects to receive add-on orders for this product and additional opportunities for contract manufacturing with this new customer.
